Roughneck Sounds - A Legal Dub Stance

If you've found this then you must have at least a bit of an interest in Roughneck Sounds. If you've got photos of gigs, press clippings, memories or anything related to the band then send it through and i'll keep updating as and when i get the chance. I'll also try and post up a load of links that should be of wider interest to those interest in dub music.

If you've found it and you're one of the band then get in touch and send some info and ideas to keep the site as complete as we can make it.

You'll need to register to add comments I think.

Cheers.

Hiya Geoff, sorry re spelling my brains been addled by years of abuse i'm afraid. The more stuff yu have the better to be honest as I don't have anything other than a tape of that first Hartlpool gig we did (i think) we sound a bit ropey anyway so i'm guessing its an early one.
If you've got owt to add to the site please send it (words too would be good). I don't want this to be seen as my site by any stretch and would like everyone who had any involvement to feel they can add stuff.
Not sure how yu'd get stuff to me on MP3 I have used www.yousendit.com in the past and thats worked well. If you gat a chance that would be really really cool. I gave all my copies of the album away years ago and haven't heard it for about 13 years......
Take care,
Stu
I'll get the spelling m,istake sorted this morning when i get back from taking the kids to skool.

Hi! My uncle (Jonna) and me just found this site and thought we'd get in touch- he reckons he has 1 photo so not much help!

Just gone and bought a Trace Elliot bass amp like my old one from Roughneck days, nobody to annoy with my repetitive basslines though...Anyone fancy a jam :D
Its Maz (Bass) by the way.

streeeetch...Is it morning ? :) Sorry its a taken a while , but I've finally got around to digitizing the first few of a pretty large collection of Roughneck Sounds Live tapes and studio outtakes etc. I have a LOT to go through here , thanks in no small part to Jeff (keyboards) , who had an amazingly well preserved stash of the live tapes. Most of them even had track lists!! .So between Jeffs collection and my own , Im guessing its a fairly complete catalog. Theres only two I can think that are missing. One being the very first gig at Hartlepool with AOS3. The other being one of the Manchester Band On The Wall gigs , but that may be lurking here somewhere on an unmarked tape. Im not sure if the Nottingham Rock and Reggae festival ever got a soundboard recording , but if anyone knows different gimme a heads up please:)
Now Ive got to figure where I can host these for you ( Stu) to add here. I'll drop you a mail to sort something out eh.
Love and Thanks to anyone who "was there" :)
